Hi guys! Today I’m sharing something a little different. Cooking, and especially baking, are both really big parts of my life and I thought I would start sharing some recipes here and there. And today I’ve got a GOOD one. Last week was Xan’s birthday and most years I bake him a cake. I’ve been baking for most of my life and I love it. But, since we’ve moved into this house the combination of a teeny tiny kitchen and so many projects I haven’t had a chance to do much of it. So, I knew it was happening this year. But, when I asked him he told me he didn’t want one because I’m not eating dairy so I wouldn’t be able to eat it. So sweet! But not happening 😂.

Hi there! Happy Thursday, friends. I’m so excited about today’s post because I’ve decided to participate in the One Room Challenge (!!!) as a guest blogger. If you’re not familiar with the One Room Challenge it’s a 6-week event where 20 or so bloggers choose a room and completely renovate it. Changes run the gamut from just decor updates to gut renovations. Every week they post updates of their progress and at the end of the 6-weeks there are all these beautiful, inspiring rooms to marvel at. And the best part is that anyone with a blog can participate as a guest – so that’s what I’m doing! Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m sharing another e-design that I just love right now. It’s an idea for a powder bath or half bath. It’s so calming, pretty, chic, and eclectic. It all started with the wallpaper. I mean, it’s so pretty. The colors with the metallic gold accents. Phew, it doesn’t get much better than that. From there I added in some wood in the vanity and the stools. A little texture from the towels and the mirror. And pulled it together with some accents that aren’t too overwhelming. This is basically my dream small bathroom design.

Happy Wednesday, Friends! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Wednesday Favorites so that’s what I’ve got for you today! Also, can I just say, WHERE DID SEPTEMBER GO? I mean it has flown by, and not only that, but where did the year go. The fact that it’s almost October is shocking. But, I am excited for cooler temps, sweaters, and shorter days. So there’s always a silver lining I suppose!

After perusing basically everything they have I was left thinking about their lighting days later. This line has SO MANY good options. Lots of gold, glass, and modern shapes – it just made my design heart very happy! And how could I keep this all to myself? So, I’m sharing my favorites lighting options today. Hi Friends! I wanted to share a little something I’ve been working on with you. I opened an Etsy shop!!
It all happened very quickly, actually. My sister-in-law made these garlands I’d made for a wedding shower (with a different color scheme) for her wedding a couple weeks ago. Lots of people at the wedding really loved them and a friend suggested I start selling them on Etsy. Well, one thing led to another and within 24 hours had my first item for sale in my shop! Right now I’ve only got a couple things in there, but I’m hoping to keep adding other colors in the coming weeks and maybe even a few other products.
