Hi Friends! I wanted to share a little something I’ve been working on with you. I opened an Etsy shop!!
It all happened very quickly, actually. My sister-in-law made these garlands I’d made for a wedding shower (with a different color scheme) for her wedding a couple weeks ago. Lots of people at the wedding really loved them and a friend suggested I start selling them on Etsy. Well, one thing led to another and within 24 hours had my first item for sale in my shop! Right now I’ve only got a couple things in there, but I’m hoping to keep adding other colors in the coming weeks and maybe even a few other products.
Read moreHappy Labor Day, friends! What are you up to? I celebrated my grandfather’s 90th birthday over the weekend and now I’m visiting my best friends from college. Even though the official end of summer isn’t until later this month Labor Day sort of feels like the unofficial end. School is back in session for most people, temperatures are starting to drop ever so slightly, and the days are getting noticeably shorter. So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do an easy little post about my summer. It’s a little more personal than usual, all the pictures are from my iphone and are not styled and not edited. Just from everyday life this summer! Now tell, me how was yours??

I went over what my definition of it is, how we did it, why I felt like it was so valuable, and what we decided on. Well, I thought I’d share a little update about where things are. Recently we finished up the last of our “catch-up” projects. That’s what I’m calling all the stuff that came up in the inspection or is more behind the scenes work. We bought and installed blinds, had gutters installed, updated a lot of the old electricity (see ya, wouldn’t wanna be, knob-and-tube), had a minor roof leak repaired, added an exhaust fan and extra outlet to the upstairs bathroom, had the attic insulation updated, and had both the attic and crawl space spot sealed. It has been a lot of work, but it’s all the kind of stuff that you really can’t see. Even the blinds, for example, technically you can see them but it’s something that you don’t notice at all.
