Today I have another e-design. This time it’s a living room décor idea that’s traditional with a casual and contemporary twist.
This is one I’ve been working on for a client and is a bit more traditional than I usually swing towards. But, I’m really loving how fresh yet masculine it feels. The leather sofa and chunky coffee table ground the space. And those gorgeous swivel rockers, the lighter furniture, and clear glass lamps all add some femininity. The texture on the navy pillows as well as from the stone fireplace make it feel extra cozy. Overall it’s a great blend of traditional, casual, and cozy. What do you think?

At the beginning of the year I made a list of all the projects I want to get done in 2018. Then, I organized them by the quarter I thought I would get them done. Because the biggest project of the year will be the kitchen, which we’ll hopefully be starting on shortly the only other thing I put on the list for the first few months of the year was the foyer. It’s the smallest project on the 2018 list so it made sense to do that at the same time as our largest project of the year. Plus, I think it will be good for mental breaks from the kitchen when we really need them.
Hi Friends, happy Thursday! Today I’m sharing another kitchen update. Outside of work, our trip to Italy, and getting ready for the holidays the kitchen is pretty much the only thing I’ve been working on. We’ve narrowed in on the scheme and I’m feeling really good about it. And in terms of getting to work, at this point we’ve gotten quotes from Ikea, Home Depot, Lowes, and we’re waiting on one from a custom cabinetry maker.
It’s Thursday, you know what that means! It’s time for a 2017 One Room Challenge update!Last week I shared the before photos of the room and some general plans. And, as promised I have the mood board I’m using as a jumping off point. Plus, some material and fabric ideas.
Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m sharing another e-design that I just love right now. It’s an idea for a powder bath or half bath. It’s so calming, pretty, chic, and eclectic. It all started with the wallpaper. I mean, it’s so pretty. The colors with the metallic gold accents. Phew, it doesn’t get much better than that. From there I added in some wood in the vanity and the stools. A little texture from the towels and the mirror. And pulled it together with some accents that aren’t too overwhelming. This is basically my dream small bathroom design.

Happy Friday, friends! Today I have another e-design for you and this one is SUPER fun. Now that I'm working from home I've gotten very up close and personal with my current desk. It's this one from Ikea, here it is in our studio apartment for some scale.
Over the weekend I did another e-design and this time it was a living room. I keep thinking about how much I want a sectional and even though it would be a while before we got one because we have so many other things on the list that are more important right now I was still inspired by this one.
I haven’t created an e-design for a while and thought now was the perfect time to put one together. This is a little guest bedroom inspiration and I’m sure I subconsciously wanted to do it because I’ve had ours on my mind lately.
Just like last week, I’ve got another design inspiration for you. I’m hoping to tackle the foyer soon. I thought it was going to be really easy, which is just plain silly.

ou guys! I can’t believe it’s finally here, but we’ve actually decided on a kitchen layout. I cannot tell you how many times we thought we were close, only to discover a kink in the plans. Like…that we accidentally drew the refrigerator too small in the initial plans, or that we then had it right next to a wall, or that we didn’t have anywhere for trash, or the microwave placement. It’s been such a long process, but I’m really glad we took the time to think it through very carefully.
