Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Mine was great, we got lots of stuff done around the house, and didn’t have too many plans, which I always enjoy. One thing we did a lot of was talking about and planning the new kitchen. If you’re interested in what’s been happening up until now you can find that post here. This weekend we used the Virtual Reality equipment at Xan’s office to walk through each of our 3 schemes. Hi guys! Today I’m sharing something a little different. Cooking, and especially baking, are both really big parts of my life and I thought I would start sharing some recipes here and there. And today I’ve got a GOOD one. Last week was Xan’s birthday and most years I bake him a cake. I’ve been baking for most of my life and I love it. But, since we’ve moved into this house the combination of a teeny tiny kitchen and so many projects I haven’t had a chance to do much of it. So, I knew it was happening this year. Hi there! Happy Thursday, friends. I’m so excited about today’s post because I’ve decided to participate in the One Room Challenge (!!!) as a guest blogger. If you’re not familiar with the One Room Challenge it’s a 6-week event where 20 or so bloggers choose a room and completely renovate it. Changes run the gamut from just decor updates to gut renovations. Every week they post updates of their progress and at the end of the 6-weeks there are all these beautiful, inspiring rooms to marvel at. And the best part is that anyone with a blog can participate as a guest – so that’s what I’m doing! Guest participants share weekly updates every Thursday, so this is the first in a series of 6 installments!

Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m sharing another e-design that I just love right now. It’s an idea for a powder bath or half bath. It’s so calming, pretty, chic, and eclectic. It all started with the wallpaper. I mean, it’s so pretty. The colors with the metallic gold accents. Phew, it doesn’t get much better than that. From there I added in some wood in the vanity and the stools. A little texture from the towels and the mirror. And pulled it together with some accents that aren’t too overwhelming. This is basically my dream small bathroom design.
