Okay, with the first day of spring also came a thousand ideas for entertaining racing around my mind. The warm, humid air; bare feet around the house; evenings with the windows open; and all the time we’ll get to spend outside are some of my favorite things about summer in the south. Another thing on that list is definitely getting to make interesting cocktails with the abundance of summer’s ingredients. I really love starting a meal with a cocktail, especially when I have a dinner party. It immediately makes things feel more special. Even if it’s something really simple.

Okay, guys, I’ve been dying to write this post. I’m SO excited about our new house and to share it with you. Before we moved in I went and snapped some pictures without anything in it. It’ll be pretty cool to do before and afters with that. Currently, we have everything in the house and out of the boxes, but it’s so far from photo-ready.

Rugs are a tricky thing. They’re often one of the biggest pieces in the room so it can feel like there’s a lot riding on getting it right. But, once you do it makes all the difference. One of my favorite sources is Rugs USA (this not sponsored, I just really like their rugs). We’ve gotten several from them over the years and we get a ton of compliments on the two we have now.
