It seems like summer is the time for parties. With the warm weather and the option to be outside more they’re just inevitable. And I have to say; I don’t hate it!
One of my favorite elements of a party is the hostess gift! I love getting them because I almost always end up with something I would never have bought for myself, but is such a fun thing to have around. And giving them is fun because it’s not usually anything over the top and a fun way to get creative and thank your host for all the hard work they put into the party.
So, I’ve rounded up some of my very favorite hostess gift ideas for any summer get together. Usually I like to get something that is clearly not for the party so the host doesn’t feel any pressure to add it to the party spread. But, that’s not always the case. And of course a nice bottle of wine or champagne is almost always a good option. Other food ideas I like are a bag of fancy coffee, some special chocolates, or pastries from a local bakery for breakfast the next morning. Because let’s be honest the day after you throw a party you’re tired – and not having to think about breakfast is the best! But, today I pulled together a list of non-food items that I love. They’re all very summery to me and I think pretty much any hostess would be excited to have them. One of my favorites is that “pool party” towel (perfect if you’re going to one!). And how pretty is the platter? It’s melamine so it’s perfect for outdoor get together without worrying it will break. Same thing for those wine glass plates – just what you need to eat and drink at the same time! And, I know it doesn’t seem that exciting, but we have that measuring cup and it’s crazy how often we use it. It comes in super handy for measuring out cocktail ingredients and a welcome addition to pretty much any party. Trust me, your hostess will love it! Oh, and how cute are those popsicle molds?
