Hi there! How’s your week going? Things are moving along here. You know, I actually kind of like Wednesdays. There’s something balancing about being halfway through the week. You’re just barely starting to look forward to the weekend, but you’re fully re-adjusted to the workweek and in the swing of things. But, for those of you that don’t feel the same way and need a mid-week mental break, I’ve got you!
Lately I’ve had a lot of entertaining ideas bouncing around my head and one that I can’t get out is cake stands. For me, cake stands were one of those things that I’d always wanted, but would often put off buying because, really how often do you have a whole cake that you need to display? Well, I got one a year or two ago and it’s been so great! Ha, I know you’re probably thinking, “how could a cake stand idea really be that exciting” (trust me I know how nerdy that sounds). But, it turns out that they’re so versatile and I especially love them for entertaining. Not only are they pretty, but they also add a lot of visual interest because of their varying height a unique shape. I love using them for any food at a party – it’s immediately more festive. Hi there, happy Saturday! We got back from Tokyo late Thursday night and even though I scheduled this post before we left, I can be sure we’re all kinds of jet-lagged. The time difference was 13 hours which means we’re basically going to be flip-flopped for a while. You know how they say that the number of days it will take to get over your jet lag is how many hours different it was. Eek. I think I can see some insomnia in my future!
