Today was the first day since Fall started that it’s actually felt like it. We had a dinner party last night and both woke up a bit hazy from the late night, indulgent food, and a couple glasses of wine. But, Xan being the trooper he is ran up to Trader Joe’s first thing in the morning and when he got back he said it felt so much like Fall! With that we decided we pretty much had no other choice than to go on a long walk. And that’s just what we did!
Often times we spend Sundays at home doing stuff around the house, meal prepping, and generally relaxing all day. It’s so nice, but sometimes by the end of the day I feel a little stir crazy. So, it was great to get out of the house to early in the morning. Walking in the cool, crisp air was so refreshing. It’s been pretty warm here and Xan I have both been ready for some cooler weather. Coming from the East Coast it can be tough to not have the change in seasons like you do over there. Or even have completely opposite seasons, almost like you’re living in another country entirely. So, it felt a little like home.
We walked over to Golden Gate Park and had a nice time taking in the weather and sunshine. I could do a million posts on Golden Gate Park, there are so many things there and I feel really lucky that we live so close. But, today I’m just sharing a few snaps of our day. Often on the weekends they close the roads within the park to cars so people can walk through the streets. It’s always invigorating to get up and out on a weekend day. We followed our walk with left overs from last night’s dinner that we turned into soup. A perfect Fall morning if you ask me!
We saw some really cute houses and picturesque views of San Francisco on the way to the park.
Lunch! White wine and dijon mussels turned soup. Very tasty!
