Hi guys! Today I’m sharing something a little different. Cooking, and especially baking, are both really big parts of my life and I thought I would start sharing some recipes here and there. And today I’ve got a GOOD one. Last week was Xan’s birthday and most years I bake him a cake. I’ve been baking for most of my life and I love it. But, since we’ve moved into this house the combination of a teeny tiny kitchen and so many projects I haven’t had a chance to do much of it. So, I knew it was happening this year. But, when I asked him he told me he didn’t want one because I’m not eating dairy so I wouldn’t be able to eat it. So sweet! But not happening 😂.
A while ago I realized that whenever we do something on Friday nights the weekend feels so much longer. But, it’s kind of tough because everyone’s tired from working all week and doesn’t really want to plan anything. So, more often than not it ends up being a relax-on-the-couch kind of night.
It seems like summer is the time for parties. With the warm weather and the option to be outside more they’re just inevitable. And I have to say; I don’t hate it!
How often do you have houseguests? We actually have them kind of a lot, and I love it. I love hosting people and having family and friends visit. Even though all our friends and family were a country away we had tons of people visit in San Francisco.
Hi everyone, I hope you’re enjoying your Memorial Day and remembering the reason we get the day off to rest, reflect, and honor. I read a post recently by a veteran friend and it said not to wish people a happy memorial day, because the reason for the day is not actually a happy one.
Hi there! How’s your week going? Things are moving along here. You know, I actually kind of like Wednesdays.
Okay! This is the third and final installment about the wedding shower and it’s all the delicious details about the food. If you missed the first two you can find them here and here.
Okay! You probably remember last week’s post about the wedding shower we threw for our San Francisco besties. Well, here’s part 2! It’s all about the set-up on the day of the party and the decorations.
Hi everyone! I’m super excited about today’s post. I started writing it and it ended up being waaaay long and didn’t even have everything I wanted to include so I’ve decided to break it up into a few different posts.
Hi there, happy Saturday! We got back from Tokyo late Thursday night and even though I scheduled this post before we left, I can be sure we’re all kinds of jet-lagged. The time difference was 13 hours which means we’re basically going to be flip-flopped for a while. You know how they say that the number of days it will take to get over your jet lag is how many hours different it was. Eek. I think I can see some insomnia in my future!
