Happy Friday, friends! Today I have another e-design for you and this one is SUPER fun.
Now that I'm working from home I've gotten very up close and personal with my current desk. It's this one from Ikea, below is a grainy iphone photo of it in our tiny studio apartment for some scale. Yes, yes you're right it is very small. And now that I work at it almost every day it's getting to the point that it's just not cutting it. My more permanent office space is much further down the road so I don't really want to invest a lot of money into it right now. Especially because we're thinking ahead to the kitchen renovation and would rather save for that. But something's gotta change! So Xan and I are going to DIY a simple desk to maximize the current small space and I'm going to outfit it with some creative and budget friendly things to make it work really well for me. I'm so excited about it - I think it's going to make such a huge difference for a pretty small amount of money.
But that's not what I'm here to show you today. Instead, I decided to put together my dream home office design. If budget and space were not a consideration this is what I would go for. Of course that won’t be the case when I do my office refresh, quite the opposite actually, but I still thought it would be fun to do.
I’m so into buffalo check right now and I love it on the curtains, the color plays so well with the rug and the bench. They all tie into one another nicely. And that desk! It’s from Anthropologie; they make that style in a lot of different pieces and I swoon hard every time I see any of it. I’m not sure if it’ll ever be in our future because Xan really doesn’t like it, so I’ll just include it in all my dream designs 🙃 Oh, yeah and how cool is that chair, it’s vintage from Etsy and I think someone seriously needs to snatch it up! The last little thing I love about this design is the San Francisco print, it’s of an area very close to our first apartment and I’ve been nostalgic for the city lately, so it’s a sweet little way to incorporate it.
