I’m currently knee-deep in Thanksgiving planning. I love scouring magazines and researching online to decide on the perfect menu and decorations. The menu is a team effort between Xan and I (more on that later). But, when it comes to the decorations, that’s all me. I’m trying to slowly build my dinner party decoration stockpile by buying a few things each year that can translate well to many different tables and occasions. Hoping to eventually have a closet full of items I love and can pull out and mix and match together to make a great space for entertaining.
Here are a few tables I’m inspired by right now. Because we still haven’t found a dining table we love we’ll be using our steel table that’s about 6 inches narrower than a standard table. So, I’m looking at minimal ideas and pulling pieces from different sources. The colors calling me right now are dark purple (like a plum or eggplant) with gold and white as accents. I’d like another color in there with the purple but am just not sure yet. I’m going for an autumnal feel without going overboard on pumpkin-orange. Or maybe I’ll just end up neutral, who knows!
I think every holiday host I know has pinned this amazing purple laced table. It's the perfect amount of seasonal without going overboard.
I like the simplicity of the accent greenery here along with the subtle gold accents. A little green could be the right partner with the purple I have in mind.
With the limited table space, I'm thinking one statement centerpiece could be the way to go. This one is beautiful and I'm not sure if I have the skill to re-create it, however, the video should help!
I like how simple and easy these table decorations are while still being incredibly elegant with a special feel.
Or...I could swap the purple I had in mind for this reddish/orange. For some reason this table is really calling me.
