Bathroom Wall Mirror Round-Up
Piece by piece I’m slowly getting our main bathroom in better shape. We’ve got a bathmat, a shower curtain liner, and I’m now working on the curtain itself. The next step is to get a bathroom wall mirror up. Yup, the place didn’t come with a bathroom mirror – some very weird things happening over here!
Our bathroom itself is pretty large and so is the vanity. We have two sinks plus some counter space. Ideally I’d like a huge mirror to go over the whole thing. However that would probably be 4 or 5 feet wide by nearly as tall so I’m not sure that’s going to be very economical, not to mention I’ve had trouble finding anything larger than 30’’ x 40’’. But, the sinks are somewhat close together so I think it could be hard to get separate mirrors that are large enough to be useful, but small enough to not bump into each other. Another hiccup is that when the bathroom was renovated the walls were tiled all the way to about three feet above the vanity which creates a lip in the middle of the wall where the tile ends. I’m not exactly sure how we’ll hang a mirror there without it angling out or being wobbly because it’s not flush against the wall. As you can see there are several elements at play that won’t make it quite as easy as finding the mirror I like and buying it.
So, here are all the bathroom wall mirrors I’ve found that I like. Currently I’m into something with some gold, I think it will add another nice layer to the room and also I just love gold everything. But, I’m also interested just a big sheet of mirror, that’s not framed or anything. But, I’m not as sure how that will look in there. Another thing I would LOVE is a medicine cabinet. After looking at a lot of those I don’t think it’s going to work because they’re pretty much all small and I think we need something larger to match the scale of the room. But, most apartments in San Francisco have them and I thought they were awesome. It was so nice to be able to hide all that little stuff that you have to have in a bathroom and generally want easy access to, but isn’t very easy to make pretty. Like your toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, lotions, combs, brushes. You know…all that stuff. Anyway, take a peek at the bathroom mirrors I found. What do you think? Do you have any mirror conundrums that you’re working with?
