Cute and Affordable Outdoor Furniture

Well friends, we did it yet again, we made it to Friday! Pat yourself on the back and get ready for all the fun weekend plans or maybe lack of plans that you have. Sometimes not having any plans is the best, right? We’re taking a road trip to my parent’s house this weekend which I’m really excited about.

Annnnyway, with all the awesome spring weather we’re having I’ve been thinking a lot about outdoor furniture. Currently we don’t have a deck or any patio space out back. Eventually we want to add some, but for now we just have our front porch. Which is plenty. It’s a great covered porch with a decent amount of space that’s pretty perfect for sitting and relaxing. And honestly, because we just moved in March we’ve barely had time to get the rest of the house in order, it would be a little daunting to think about furnishing a front porch and back deck in addition to all the things that need to be done inside. So right now we’re very happy with our outdoor space. But, currently the only furniture we have is one little bench that the previous owners left. It’s really adorable and red and matches our front door. It fits two people and is just the cutest. But, I’m pretty sure it was a glider at one point and it’s a little too high. Like, my feet barely touch the ground and I’m 5’9’’ so I doubt it’s very comfortable for our shorter friends. I’ve also been working outside on nicer days, which is such an amazing perk of working from home. But, it gets a little tricky because the bench isn’t great ergonomically and there’s no table or place to put extras like a bottle of water or a notebook.

So, more furniture out there has been on my mind. I recently popped by World Market’s website and they had a bunch of stuff front and center. Which made me think it would be a good idea to start with furniture that’s pretty inexpensive. I’ve never lived in a place with actual outdoor space. Except for an apartment complex that had a little porch, but for some reason that doesn’t feel the same. I don’t really want to invest in nice, expensive furniture because I’m just not sure about how we’ll use it, how it will wear, what might unexpectedly ruin it. All that kind of stuff. And, there are so many places right now with super cute, affordable stuff that it just makes sense to start there. So, I’ve pulled together two looks with some of my favorite finds to help you make the most of your outdoor living this spring and summer. For those of you have that have had outdoor space for a while, I’d love to know if you have any tips when it comes to furniture!
