Cocktail glass round-up
Okay, with the first day of spring also came a thousand ideas for entertaining racing around my mind. The warm, humid air; bare feet around the house; evenings with the windows open; and all the time we’ll get to spend outside are some of my favorite things about summer in the south. Another thing on that list is definitely getting to make interesting cocktails with the abundance of summer’s ingredients. I really love starting a meal with a cocktail, especially when I have a dinner party. It immediately makes things feel more special. Even if it’s something really simple.
In the spirit of getting ready for warmer days and longer nights (and the weekend ahead!) I’ve pulled together some of my favorite cocktails glasses around right now. I’m obsessed with all things dish and drink ware. If you asked Xan he would say my very favorite is glasses, but I’d say it’s all of it. I get weak in the knees at the sight of some pretty dishes and full on green with envy when friends get new things. I know, I know. It’s a bit of a problem. But, really not the worst one. If that’s as bad as it gets I’d say I’m alright.
I’ve been collecting these gold accented cocktail glasses for the last couple years and I’m a big fan of the variety. It makes it especially easy to know which glass belongs to which person during a party. And there’s something a little bit special about getting to pick out your own glasses. Any of these would be perfect for my Gold Rush, this Clementine Vodka Soda (I made them with mandarins and they were AMAZING), or these Coconut Blood Orange Margaritas. Now, get mixing if for no other than it’s Friday!
