New Apartment: Photo Tour
So, this photo tour is real. It’s borderline too real. I’m a little embarrassed to be putting it out there in the world. But, as I progress on the space I think I’ll be glad I had photos from the beginning.
We moved to our new space in mid-September. Things have been kind of a whirlwind since. Two weddings, a 14-course Chinese wedding banquet, the death of a grandparent, a long trip back east, our first overnight guest, and a couple small get togethers with friends. With all of these things happening there hasn’t been much time (read: none) to get this place organized and in order. But, the incompleteness is wearing on me and I’m really craving some time to get things settled.
Our old apartment came together pretty quickly – largely because it was so small. Having more space is such an amazing problem to have. I’m trying to remind myself of that and to take it slow. This really is an opportunity to build on only things we truly love. We have a blank canvas here and it will be so exciting to design it in a way that feels truly “us.”
That being said, I’m definitely ready to get some of the basics done. Get the decorations we already have hung on the walls, organize the 2 closets that are currently housing everything we don’t know what to do with yet, and settle in a bit more.
So, without further adieu here are the pictures of the apartment. As is. Imperfections and all.
The tour starts from the front door. From there you look into the foyer with kitchen straight ahead, the bathroom on the right, and the living and bedroom on the left.
